Divinity Studies
The study of divinity includes formulating and practicing sound doctrine that shapes the life of the Church. Ministers must cultivate a love for Scripture and its study, as well as prayer so that they can devote themselves entirely to faithful service amongst Christ’s flock: “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word” (Acts 6:4). Devotion to God’s Word as containing all things necessary to salvation and as the final test for all religious teaching is essential.
Protestant Confessional Documents
Our confessional documents matter, because they represent our public profession of faith and doctrine that distinguishes us from other bodies of Christians and from heretics and unbelievers. Becoming sound in our theological convictions based on the teaching of Scripture is a must. Every major Protestant confession of faith and teaching document will be analyzed, compared and contrasted with their counterparts in the light of the Scriptures.
Ministry Studies
Theological erudition is a must, but so are the practical skills needed for fruitful ministry as a bishop, priest, or deacon. Sacred Scripture provides a perfect blueprint for those aspiring to the Holy Ministry. It is good to desire the office of bishop, a noble and pious ordeal, but a man must be qualified for the office and its grave duties through functional ministry experience and activity in the local Church.
Liturgical Studies
Topics Include:
Prayer Books
Structuring a Biblical Worship Service
Traditional Versus Contemporary Worship
Prayers, Offices & Rites
Sacred Music, Art, Vestments
Proper Administration of the Sacraments
Why Liturgical Worship?
High, Broad, Low Churchmanship
Biblical Principles for Divine Worship
How To Worship in Spirit and in Truth
Simplicity in Christ
Sacramental Theology
The two Dominical Sacraments of Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper must be continually meditated upon and frequented by all Christians. For being the divinely instituted means of our salvation by faith, theologians, pastors and lay persons can always turn to the Lord’s grace present and free in the Sacraments by faith. While two Dominical Sacraments are considered, the Five Rites of the Church, so common in our united Christian walk, are also illumined.
Christ College might be God’s next step for you.
Incredibly Affordable
We offer Christian education at an extremely affordable cost, and even completely for free for those who cannot afford theological training at this time.
Hands On Experience
Actually making disciples who stay true to the Faith is what is most important. Therefore, those who attend Christ College must be active in their local church and ministry.
Kind & Knowledgeable Professors
Professional theologians must be tender and patient towards their students as is befitting the Gospel of Christ. By teaching the truth in love, students learn how to put on Christ and obey the Scriptures while being an example to others.
